The Haitian Revolution, being the
only successful slave revolt in history,
produced a domino effect of slave
revolts around the world. With the
advantage of underestimation by their
captors, the natives of the island were
able to pursue this everlasting
change. It is because of this
revolt that many black
people today are able
to live as such, people.
To many, the
ramifications of
that moment in
history is un-
known, as fellow
black persons, we
must "wear one's
heart on one's sleeve"
and force the world to see
what history has once done to us
so it is never repeated.
